Synergy's just released Network Security Geographical Market Shares report indicates mixed results in 2008 as North America's revenue shares for the year slipped nearly two points to just over 45 percent market share while EMEA's share remained unchanged from its 2007 share of  31 percent.  The SSL/VPN segment demonstrated the most evenly balanced growth in 2008 as NAM, EMEA, and APAC all reported 11-12 percent growth.

Q4 revenues grew only 1.4 percent sequentially to $1.6 billion as EMEA was the only region to report more than two percent growth overall.  While EMEA led with over four percent growth in both the Hybrid and SSL's segment, it also reported the biggest decline in Synergy's IDS/IPS segment.
